Our specialty
Crisp, Straight Lines on Every Eave, Peak and Ridge
Roofline lighting is what people picture when they think of a professionally lit home: a clean, glowing outline that traces the shape of the house from the street, the cul-de-sac or across the lake. It is also the hardest part to do yourself, because it means ladders, steep pitches and dozens of feet of gutter. That is exactly where Jingle Bells Christmas Lighting focuses. We design, install, maintain, take down and store commercial-grade C9 LED roofline lights for homes across San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country.
Every strand is measured to your home, clipped at even spacing and run so the bulbs sit in a straight line rather than sagging between gutter hangers.

What We Light on Your Roof
- Eaves and gutters: the horizontal edges of the roof, the foundation of almost every design.
- Rakes and gables: the slanted edges climbing to each peak, which give a home its shape at night.
- Peaks and dormers: outlined so a two-story facade reads clearly from the street.
- Ridgelines: the top line of the roof, for the full rooftop outline.
- Porch rooflines and columns: to frame the entry under the main roof.
Why C9 LEDs for Rooflines
C9 bulbs are the larger, classic-shaped bulbs seen on storefronts and the best-lit houses in the neighborhood. On a roofline they read from a distance, which matters on Hill Country lots set back from the road. Our commercial-grade LED C9s use far less power than incandescents, run cool and give consistent color from one end of the house to the other.
Clips for Every Roof Type
Hill Country and San Antonio homes have composition shingle, concrete and clay tile, standing-seam metal and stone-heavy facades. We match the clip to the surface, never use nails or staples, and remove every clip when we take the lights down in January.

Roofline Christmas Lights FAQs
How much do roofline Christmas lights cost?
Roofline lighting typically runs about $8–$12 per linear foot all-in, with a $1,000 minimum. Most homes land between $1,200 and $2,500+. The price includes the C9 LED lights, clips, timer, installation, mid-season service, January takedown and storage. We give an exact price after measuring.
How do you measure my roofline?
During the free quote we walk the house and measure every run we plan to light: gutters and eaves, rake edges up each gable, peaks and any ridgelines. You get a per-run plan and one all-in price.
Will clips damage my shingles, tile, metal roof or gutters?
No nails, no staples and no screws. We use clips made for the surface: gutter clips on gutter lips, shingle tabs on composition roofs, and the right clip style for tile and standing-seam metal. Every clip comes off at takedown.
What is the difference between eave, gutter and ridgeline lighting?
Eave or gutter lighting follows the lowest horizontal edge of the roof. Rake or gable lighting climbs the slanted edges up to each peak. Ridgeline lighting runs along the very top of the roof. Combining all three gives the full outlined look; many homes start with the front eaves and peaks.
Can you light a two-story or steep roof?
Yes. Tall peaks and steep pitches are common in the Hill Country. Our trained, fully insured crew plans ladder placement and roof access for each elevation.
What color and spacing do you use?
Commercial-grade C9 LED bulbs, usually on 12-inch spacing for that clean, classic look. Warm white is the most popular; multicolor, red, green or a custom mix are available.
Do I need outlets on the outside of the house?
An outdoor GFCI outlet near the roofline run is ideal. We plan circuits during the quote and use outdoor-rated cords and timers so nothing is overloaded.
Do you install permanent roofline lighting?
No. We focus on seasonal C9 roofline lighting that we install, maintain, take down and store each year, so there is no hardware left on your home and no large upfront system cost.
